May Day is not only a holiday, but also a symbol of workers' tenacious struggle and pursuit of legitimate rights and interests, reflecting the historic progress of human civilization and democracy. In China, national units at all levels will celebrate this festival by commending outstanding workers, holding gatherings or cultural and sports activities, and other means. Internationally, different countries have their own unique ways of celebrating, forming their own distinctive folk activities. Regardless of its form, the core of this festival is always respect and tribute to the value of labor.
This May Day,
We pay tribute to sweat,
Yet we honor even more the 'individuals' behind that sweat.
We praise labor,
Yet we extol even more the vibrant souls engaged in it.
May no effort go in vain,
May each 'you' find yourself in your post,
Nurturing your very own blossoms with sweat.
